Yaroslavskyi named his 5* hotel Kharkiv Palace

On March 4, in Kharkiv was presented the name of the new five-star hotel, construction of which Oleksandr Yaroslavskyi`s DCH group (general investor and coordinator of Kharkiv's preparation for Euro-2012) is going on Svobody square. The hotel was named Kharkiv Palace, and its name was publicly announced for the first time in the presence of the media. The hotel will be the first in Kharkiv, which was originally designed for a 5* one.

As previously reported, the hotel`s construction is being 100% funded by private investment of Oleksandr Yaroslavskyi and is one of the key objects of Euro 2012 in Kharkiv. Its opening is scheduled for December this year. Total investment in the construction of Kharkiv Palace exceed 100 million dollars.

Hotel`s name presentation was attended by high-ranking UEFA representatives:
- Euro-2012 operational director Martin Kallen,
- UEFA special representative on Euro-2012 František Laurinec,
- UEFA Euro-2012 director in Ukraine Markiyan Lubkivsky.

Such attention of the organizers of the continental football championship to Kharkiv Palace was due to the function to be performed by the hotel during the Euro 2012. Representatives of UEFA target groups (UEFA "family"), as well as UEFA's headquarters in Kharkiv will be accommodated in its room fund during the tournament. Given that the Kharkiv Palace accommodates 180 rooms, the hotel is almost completely compensates the lack of five-star apartments that existed in the "first capital" until recently.

As of today, about 40% of all planned works on the construction site were done. Guests of the presentation could witness the highest rate of construction due to the fact that the presentation of the name of the object passed in close proximity to the construction site. Listening the national anthem of United Europe, which has already become traditional for the presentation and opening ceremonies of Euro 2012 objects built by DCH group in Kharkiv (the composition was playing during the opening ceremony of Metalist stadium on December 5, 2009), Oleksandr Yaroslavskyi and honoured guests from UEFA have demonstrated to the media the visualisation of Kharkiv Palace, as well as designed for the hotel logo.

Under the presentation, UEFA delegation had also presented the second lucky one who won 4 tickets to the first match of Euro 2012 with the participation of Ukrainian national team (first winner of the prize-winning ticket was a resident of Kyiv region). The next was Kharkiv citizen Gennadyi. The card with his number was chosen by tournament ambassador Oleg Blokhin during the official ceremony of ticket sales beginning UEFA EURO 2012, which was held in Kyiv on March 1. And during the presentation of the name of Kharkiv Palace hotel the delegation members of UEFA in the presence of media representatives handed Gennadyi the cherished tickets.
