In Kharkiv there was a presentation of the name of the 5-star hotel «Kharkiv Palace», which is being built for Euro 2012. According to UNIAN correspondent, the presentation of the name of the new hotel, which will be the first one in Kharkiv, from the very beginning designed as a 5-star one, was held at Svobody Square in the heart of the city, where there is undergoing construction.
The presentation was attended by Chief Operating Officer UEFA Euro 2012, Martin Kallen, special representative of the UEFA EURO 2012 František Laurinec, the tournament director in Ukraine Markiyan Lubkivsky.
According to the general investor and coordinator of Kharkiv's preparations for Euro-2012 Oleksandr Iaroslavskyi, the construction of a hotel on 180 rooms, which almost completely compensates the lack of 5-star apartments that existed in Kharkiv will be completed in late 2011.
"I want to say that the hotel is not built for Euro 2012, but for Kharkiv citizens, and will be ready by November-December this year. It will have 180 rooms. There are excellent facilities for the casino, ball rooms, fitness and a range of shops, it will have everything needed that five-star hotel includes" - said Mr. Iaroslavskyi.
"I can say with confidence - he said - that it will be probably the best hotel in Ukraine and possibly in Europe." Answering about the future operator of the hotel, he said that today there are negotiations "with one of Moscow's groups, and probably they will be operators, but we have not decided yet."
Commenting on the event, M. Kallen assessed the dynamics of the construction of one of the key Euro 2012 objects in Kharkiv. "I am very pleased to see the wonderful progress of construction of the hotel - he said. - I visit Kharkiv almost every two months, and only recently I saw the foundation, but now I see as the hotel is growing every day, and I am very pleased to note this. "
O. Iaroslavskyi and guests from UEFA have shown the media "Kharkiv Palace" building, and also the designed for the hotel logo.
According to official info, the hotel is being constructed 100% for O. Iaroslavskyi`s private investment. Total investment in the construction of «Kharkiv Palace» exceed 100 million dollars.
