The assets of the Group are located in more than 370 cities in 22 regions of Ukraine and have a significant impact on the social processes in the cities of operation. And vice versa - all our businesses are substantially dependent upon the society, far beyond the operation areas. Therefore, our principles of interaction with the society are based on our willingness and ability to listen and hear, help and develop, support and defend.

DCH Group is involved in support of the society and creation of appropriate working conditions: investments in the business operation territories, support of the community, timely and completely paid taxes and duties, creation of workplaces, production safety, conformity to environmental standards, etc.

More than 7,100 people are employed by the enterprises and companies of DCH Group. Total taxes paid for 2024 amount to UAH 2,269.48 mln. Total taxes paid by DCH Group from the beginning of the full-scale Russia’s invasion amounted to more than UAH 6.12 bln.  Total amount spent by DCH Group on support of the country and the society since the beginning of the full-scale invasion equals more than UAH 119 mln.

In the last few years, our country and society have faced critical challenges. On the one hand, the sovereignty and security of the country have become crucial factors for businesses to be able to operate. On the other hand, stability and support from businesses have become the key to survival of the country.

DCH has been actively involved in overcoming  the aftermath of great turmoil for the country, i.e. COVID-19 and the war with Russia.

Combating the Russian aggression

After the outset of the full-scale invasion, DCH Group has got adapted to new conditions of uncertainty and risks for business, accepted the challenges our country and society stood up to. The Group’s business suffered heavy losses. Thus, Kharkiv, Karavan shopping mall and Kharkiv Palace Hotel were destroyed, Kharkiv International Airport had to cease its business activity, the project for construction of the new airport in Dnipro was halted, the territory of Kharkiv Tractor Plant is under permanent shelling, Ecopolis KhTZ project was ceased. More than 900 workers of DCH Group joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Regrettably, some of them perished.

All the wartime DCH has been active supporting the society. In March 2022, the Company transferred UAH 25 mln. to Kharkiv municipal budget to provide municipal hospitals with all the essentials. 

Within the international support program World4Kharkiv in July 2022, mobile X-ray systems with the total value of $1 mln were delivered to Ukraine. This is international standard modern equipment that is the safest for patients and convenient for medical staff. Such X-ray apparatuses are indispensable diagnostic equipment in field conditions and when a big number of injured persons are in need of quick X-ray diagnostics. 

Supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the companies of the Group regularly provide the military units with the essentials, among which are medicines and first aid kits, protection equipment, tactical gear, charging plants, power generators, batteries, thermal imaging cameras, radio stations, quadcopters, etc. Direct charity contributions is a considerable chunk of aid too.

The number of versatile types of vehicles transferred by DCH to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and state services amount to more than 100 items. The construction enterprises of the Group help with materials for fortifiҁations, items for construction and setup of fortifications, as well as necessary equipment and specialists.

Another line of support is assistance to the company workers,  that is financial assistance to employees during relocation, support to those who joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine and families who lost their men during hostilities, financial assistance to people undergoing rehabilitation after injuries.

The Company did not stand aside and got involved in purchasing the necessary goods for the residents of the flooded settlements of Kherson and Mykolaiiv regions.

In July 2024, after the tragedy caused by shelling of Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital, the shareholder and management team of DCH Group decided to provide financial support for liquidation of consequences. DCH group of companies allocated a total of UAH 4 mln and organized fundraising among employees.

The Company provides permanent support for hospitals and cooperation with funds, such as “For Free People” Charitable Foundation, Charitable Fund “Healthy Future”, “Patronage Service “Angels of Azov”, Medical Emergency Service “Angels”.

The total amount allocated by DCH Group for support of the country and society since the beginning of the full-scale invasion sums up to more than UAH 119 mln.

Fighting COVID-19

In March 2020, soon after the outbreak of COVID-19 in Ukraine, Oleksandr Yaroslavskyi, the shareholder of DCH Group, headed the first in Ukraine anti-crisis headquarters that was located at Kharkiv Palace Hotel 5*. The headquarters’ activity became part of the national program for combating the pandemic under the President of Ukraine. 

As of April 2020, DCH’s support for fighting the spread of coronavirus in Ukraine reached UAH 391 mln, becoming the largest contribution among the companies funding the pandemic response. 

Due to the agreement between Oleksandr Yaroslavskyi and Jack Ma one of the first lots of 150 ths. units of PCR tests was delivered to Ukraine. In total, Oleksandr Yaroslavskyi facilitated and funded importing 1 mln pcs. of tests for COVID-19.. 50 lung ventilation units were bought in Germany and delivered to Ukraine. Medical personnel of Kharkiv received 4 thousand bacteriological protection garments. Besides, Yaroslavskyi contributed to purchasing 150 ths. food packages and 40 ths. medical kits with essential medicines to support Kharkiv pensioners during the strictest phase of the quarantine.

Along with the personal contribution, Oleksandr Yaroslavskyi unified  outstanding Kharkiv residents to support their city, which sufficiently increased the efficacy of the pandemic response.

As part of Ecopolis KhTZ, business park of new generation, Oleksandr Yaroslavskyi established a modern virology center to study dangerous infections and elaborate medicines and counteraction protocols.. With his assistance, Kharkiv specialists in cooperation with London University elaborated and produced Ukraine’s first sample of lung ventilation unit in October 2020. 

In June 2021, high-tech manufacturing of Ukrainian PCR tests for diagnostics of infectious, oncological, and hereditary diseases, in particular, PCR tests for COVID-19, started at Ecopolis KhTZ business park. 

DCH group of companies not only supported the country and society against the pandemic, but also took equal care of own employees. In particular, it implemented optional telecommuting, and transportations of the personnel to the place of work, all employees were provided with the necessary protection equipment and quick access to tests for COVID-19 on demand.
