The interference with audit or attempt to discredit the management of the company-operator of the Kharkiv airport? Close to the leadership of the city website has published information from its own sources, which was allegedly voiced by deputy prime minister for Euro-2012 Boris Kolesnikov.
The operator of International Airport "Kharkiv" refuses to audit the new terminal, which should be held by a well-known American company. Such information has recently spread to one of our Internet resources, close to the mayor Gennadiy Kernes. The authors of the material, mentioning their own sources, say: this data was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Boris Kolesnikov during a meeting to prepare the country for Euro 2012. And he has allegedly instructed the local authorities to influence the situation. The press service of the City Council confirmed this information to the News ATN: such a meeting actually took place in Kyiv with participation of heads of cities hosting the championship, but it was closed to the press. The mayor of Kharkiv Gennadiy Kernes himself the question of whether such data was presented, and how he will carry out the vice-premier`s instruction, meets traditionally evasive.
Gennadiy Kernes, Kharkiv mayor: "With regard to inspections, I think it is now the subject of work for the investor company and so they have to decide today, who is an operator, I mean during the matches of Euro 2012."
In the DCH they assured: their representatives were at the meeting, but did not hear such statements. The new terminal had been repeatedly checked by UEFA and other European organizations, which supervise the activities in preparation for football championship. All of them have been admitted and tested without problems, says the head of the Directorate for the construction of the airport, Aleksandr Sivalnev. About what exactly American company everybody is talking about, the company doesn`t know. Furthermore, there were no requests for such an audit received.
Aleksandr Sivalnev, head of the Directorate for Construction: "If there is a request, we will show everything, we`ll show compliance of the project, particularly the terminal building, the first terminal, where we are now, all the passengers pass through it, everyone sees the building, we have nothing to hide. The work that is done at public expense is almost visible, too."
DCH group regularly provides relevant documents to the authorized bodies, said the press service. The information released on the Internet, Aleksandr Sivalnev calls false. However, who started it and why, he does not specify. The press service of Boris Kolesnikov, neither confirm nor deny this data. The meeting, said spokesman Yuriy Kramnitskyy, was closed, and he was not present there, so he can`t give any comments.
