The reconstruction of the airport with the construction of a new runway is 66% completed.
Kharkiv airfield is 66% ready. This was told to Informational Center "Ukraine-2012" by Euro National Agency (Ukrevroinfraproekt). 99% of the platforms were built at the facility, there are the works on construction of the main taxiway as well.
The total volume of construction works covering the runway is: without the top layer of concrete M400 - 2,300 m, including ready cover - 2,000 m. 163 people and 107 vehicles work at the facility. The object reconstruction completion is scheduled for later this year.
Recall that on August 28 Kharkiv have opened up new "air gates". The symbolic ribbon to the new passenger terminal of International airport "Kharkiv" was cut by the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, Vice Prime Minister Boris Kolesnikov, the governor Mikhail Dobkin and airport investor Oleksandr Iaroslavskyi.
