Expert: operating part of preparations for Euro 2012 in Kharkiv is impossible without the Iaroslavskyy

Inspection of foreign journalists to Kharkiv have once again confirmed that the city's preparations for Euro 2012 would have been impossible without the participation of investor and the general coordinator of the process Oleksandr Iaroslavskyy. This opinion was expressed by Sergiy Nagorny, director of analytical department of udertakers-participants of preparation for the European football championship Euro-2012.

"The articles resulting the visit to Kharkiv in publications such as World football insider, The Independent, Daily Telegraph and many others, the tone of which can be judged by republication in the domestic media are demonstration. Almost all materials released following the visit of foreign guests one way or another are devoted to objects implemented in full or partial financial support from Oleksandr Iaroslavskyy and under his direct supervision. And the identity of the businessman who has invested in the hometown $ 265 million, was noticed by journalists of the "the newspaper space", - said the expert.

As Sergiy Nagorny said, an investment period of preparation for Euro 2012 is almost coming to an end - the central government responsibly performs its obligations to finance from the state budget and the chief private investor has already performed. Accordingly, now it`s time of commissioning and display of objects at full capacity. Sergiy Nagorny is sure that in Kharkiv`s case the participation of Oleksandr Iaroslavskyy in the operational stage is crucial, and even critical success factor. "If we hypothetically assume that Iaroslavskyy is now out of the process, the city will simply derail the operating stage of preparation for the tournament. Local authorities have already demonstrated their "ability" concerning the road maintenance, preparation of health system, language studying and other aspects of preparation for Euro 2012. The majority of them becomes the object of criticism from UEFA. So it's difficult to imagine how Kharkiv will be on preparing for Euro 2012 without the financial and organizational resources of its main investor, "- emphasizes the expert.
