Kharkiv Airlines’ Boeing 767 made its first passenger flight from Boryspil Airport

Kharkiv Airlines operated its first commercial flight on the wide-body Boeing 767 from Boryspil Airport on August 29th. The second long-range aircraft was added to the airline fleets based at Boryspil Airport in August. It widens the range of popular tourist destinations from the main airport of Ukraine and offers the passengers additional possibilities for comfortable air travel.

Kyiv-Antalya route became the first of the long-haul flights for the wide-body airliner. A press briefing was held on arrival of the flight at the airport, directors of Boryspil International Airport State Enterprise and Kharkiv Airlines taking part.

“A new stage of collaboration with Kharkiv Airlines started fairly recently, however, we can already speak about a great start and productive collaboration thanks to which a number of popular flights catering to our passengers’ needs were added to Boryspil’s flight schedule. The technological capability of the Boeing 767 aircraft will allow the air company to start operating long-haul flights and provide carriage of passengers for long distances without enroute stops. Long-haul flights are one of the priorities in developing the airport as a hub,” noted the Deputy Director General for production and airfield technical support of Boryspil Airport Serhiy Hombolevsky.

Kharkiv Airlines added the new aircraft to its fleet at the end of this August. The plane of standard configuration with 3 classes (business, premium, economy) has 272 passenger seats. Kharkiv Airlines will operate Boeing 767- 300ER on international routes.

“Purchasing a plane of this series and class is an important step in realization of strategic plan of establishment and successful development of Kharkiv Airlines. Presence of such a powerful long-range aircraft in our fleet will allow us to enlarge the route map and guarantee our passengers the highest level of comfort and security,” said the chairman of Kharkiv Airlines Nikolai Nikitenko.

Kharkiv Airline’s Boeing 767 aircraft will be based at Boryspil International Airport.
