In October this year at the International airport "Kharkiv" will open a new flight Kharkiv - Kyiv, which will significantly improve air service to the "first" and the current capitals of Ukraine. The flight will be performed by one of the leading domestic airline, the company "Ukraine International Airlines".
"The negotiations with "International Airlines of Ukraine" had been conducted for a long time and now come to their logical conclusion," - said Vitaliy Nedashkovskiy, Deputy Director of Strategic Development of "New Systems AM" Ltd (the company managing the airport, part of Aleksander Yaroslavskiy`s DCH Group). - "The new flight will be daily, and the first passengers will be able to use it in October."
As of now selling tickets for the new flight is not open, because the exact date of commencement of flights still in the process of agreement. At the Kharkiv sector UIA will compete with the airlines "Dniproavia" (to the airport "Borispol") and "HORS" (to the airport "Zhulyany").
At the present time from the International Airport "Kharkiv" company "International Airlines of Ukraine" carries out charter flights to Antalya (Turkey) Bourgas (Bulgaria), in the winter - to Sharm el Sheikh and Hurghada (Egypt) and Dubai (UAE) and Erzurum (Turkey). All of the above flights the airline carries on the aircraft Boeing-737.
As stressed by Vitaliy Nedashkovskiy, "Even before the opening of the first passenger terminal, Aleksander Yaroslavskiy, as coordinator of Kharkiv preparation for Euro 2012 and including the reconstruction of the Kharkiv airport, clearly defined the main vector of development: expansion of geography of flights to a level corresponding to the business and tourism potential of our city. Kharkiv is the second largest city of Ukraine, next to which there are densely populated areas, including the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation. So the prospects are enormous. Air carriers are well aware of it. So to the extent that, as the reconstruction of international airport "Kharkiv" is coming to its end, a growing number of airlines expressed interest in organizing a flight that will connect our city with different regions and countries."
