Temporary passenger terminal to be built in CE "International airport "Kharkiv"t o Euro-2012. This was told to journalists on June 7 by manager of Directorate for the construction of the airport, Aleksandr Sivalnev. According to him, now temporary terminal is being drafted. "It will be pretty fast-building. During the championship the building will be used for parking of small planes. Equipment for building useage during the Euro 2012 as the terminal will be rented," - said A. Sivalnev.
According to him, the airport is done that during the tournament it could take about 25 thousand passengers for six hours. There will be three terminals: main (which is currently under construction), the temporary terminal at the old terminal building, which will be renovated. In a newly built terminal is about 80% finished. In autumn 2010 it is planned to open a terminal, and then continue installation of equipment.
As A. Sivalnev noted, the project of airfield runway is being examined. While the project under examination, the soil from the place of the future runway is being removed. The old runway will be used for placing 100-120 aircrafts during Euro 2012. After Euro 2012 the runway will be used for business aviation. Its length is about 1,3 km. "This year about 75% of construction works of the runway is planned to be done. We`ll try to make a concrete part of the runway this year and to install equipment next year. After the planes use the runway (it takes two to three months), it will be introduced into operation in October-November 2011".

"DCH" group introduced by the company "New Systems AM" is the operator of the reconstruction of international airport "Kharkiv" and sole investor in the reconstruction of the airport complex, which includes a new terminal, upgrading the old terminal, reconstruction of the station square, the construction of a temporary terminal for the matches of Euro- 2012, modernization of infrastructure, purchase of machinery and transport.
Reconstruction of the airfield complex, which includes reconstruction of the apron, runway, installation of light signal system, construction of the rescue station, construction of towers, is being carried out by the state budget.
The final part of the European Football Championship 2012 will take place in Poland and Ukraine. On December 11, 2009, Donetsk, Kyiv, Lviv and Kharkiv were finally confirmed as the cities from the Ukrainian side, which will host the final tournament matches of European Football Championship 2012. In Poland matches of Euro 2012 will be in Warsaw, Wroclaw, Gdansk and Poznan. The final match of the tournament will be held in Kyiv.
