Oleksandr Iaroslavskyi`s DCH Group, the general investor and coordinator of Kharkiv's preparations for Euro-2012, plans to invest UAH 30 million in modernizing the territory around the 5* hotel Kharkiv Palace.
On the territory around the hotel there will be installed: park lamps, benches, urns, a number of art objects. The sidewalks along the hotel complex on Trinklera st. and Pravdy st. will be reconstructed - it will be extended to 9 feet and laid with granite.
The planned work complex also involves improvement of the municipal territory - in particular, the design of the entrance to the subway station Derzhprom, reconstruction of underground utilities, repair of the facade of the northern building of Karazina university, reconstruction of retaining walls of the Govorova Academy, reconstruction of the main entrance to the Govorova Academy, granite laying of the area between the territory of the hotel and Svobody sq, as well as lighting of Trinklera st. and Pravdy st.
At the time of construction of the hotel project there are changes to the traffic interchange at Svobody sq planned: today there is an order from City Council to move the taxi stop towards the Govorova Academy. Construction of new bus station will be provided by DCH, and it will be installed today, on April 15, 2011.
As you know, hotel Kharkiv Palace is built on one of the biggest squares in Europe - Svobody sq. The total investment in its construction is 100 million dollars. Works at the facility will be completed in December 2011. During the final part of the European Football Championship in 2012 (Euro 2012) according to the signed contract with UEFA, Kharkiv Palace will accommodate the headquarters of UEFA. UEFA target groups (the so-called "family") will live here also.
