Low-cost carrier Pegasus Airlines will soon fly from Istanbul to Kharkiv

Low-cost carrier Pegasus Airlines will soon fly from Istanbul (Turkey) to Kharkiv (Ukraine), according to Flight-Airline.com. The flights will be daily from 21.10.2010. on Boeing 737. Departure from Istanbul (Airport Sabiha Gokcen) at 23:40, arriving to Kharkiv at 01:45. The return flight at 02:45 to arrive in Istanbul at 04:55.

New flight can be very interesting to residents of neighboring to Kharkiv regions in Russia - in particular, Belgorod, Kursk, Orel and Voronezh regions.

The minimum fare from Istanbul to Kharkiv is 37.31 euro, in the opposite direction - 52.80 euro (inclusive of all taxes but excluding service charges).

Taking into account all fees and taxes, round-trip flights will cost a minimum of 104 euro.

In addition, the new flight Berlin-Khatkiv to be opened soon.

As deputy chairman of the Governor Yuriy Sapronov said, it has become possible thanks to an agreement between the German airline Air  Berlin, Lufthansa and Ukrainian DonbasAero.

Director of Airport "Kharkiv" Volodymyr Vasilchenko stressed that the price of the ticket is determined by the airline, but the airport is working with loukost-company, so the "prices are not high."

He noted that to date the airport works with 12 carriers, but constantly negotiations continue to attract new partners.

Deputy General Director for Strategic Development of New Systems AM, which is engaged in the reconstruction of the airport, Vitaliy Nedashkovskiy, speaking about the prospect of opening new international routes, reported that regular flights to Paris, Warsaw, as well as in Italy and Germany (the city has not yet determined) are scheduled to open in the spring. He refused to call the airline, noting that to date they are still in the negotiating process.

In addition, according to V. Nedashkovskiy in the near future the number of domestic flights will expand. Thus, it is planned later this year to open the flights to Kyiv and Odessa, and next year - to Sevastopol.

Pegasus Airlines works on the charter and scheduled flights. The company's fleet consists of 18 Boeing-737-800, 2 Boeing-737-400, 3 Boeing-737-500. The carrier sells tickets at low prices, working in a segment of the budget airlines.

In Istanbul, Pegasus Airlines uses a second city airport - Sabiha Gokcen, on the outskirts of the Asian side.
