Opening of the new airport terminal for Kharkiv is a very great event. First, now Kharkiv citizens will go on a long journey from their hometown. And secondly, Kharkiv fulfilled yet another standard for an examination on the subject "Ready for Euro 2012". Following the reconstructed stadium, the city received a new terminal.

The terminal was spacious and decorated with the latest trends in the world of technology. On the ground floor is a large Hall with ticket offices. In front of them - tables for check-in.
As the head of the Directorate for the construction of the International Airport "Kharkiv" Aleksandr Sivalnev said, big workload needs to be done to open the international links.
"There will be IT systems, there will be system of airport activity. But the terminal will operate. First, the inner airlines will start working, and I think that from October-November international ones will work too", - says Sivalnev.
On the first floor is border and customs control. Despite the guards I got the opportunity to go further. Further is a duty free shop. After passport control, and this wonderful shop, we find ourselves in huge waiting room, which opens up an incredibly beautiful view of the runway. Being without a bodyguard, among other visitors of the airport, coordinator of Kharkiv preparations to the Euro received congratulations, didn`t hesitate to communicate with journalists and ordinary residents of the city.
"It`s still early to relax, but all objects will be delivered just in time" - Yaroslavskyy finally assures everyone with these words.
No less delighted we were after visiting Metalist training base.
Modern building, located in ecologically clean area, includes several residential buildings and four football fields. It just so happened that the visit representatives of the media found players during preparations for the game with Zaporizhzhya Metallurg. So instead of empty space, we were able to witness the football diet (a buffet, where the players are free to choose their meals from the set of proposed dishes), as well as see the work of the coach on physical education rehabilitation, who carefully examined the guys after arriving to the base.
In the evening the whole Kharkiv gathered in the square, located directly at the airport. Visitors were welcomed by domestic and foreign stars, but a highlight of the evening was performance of the cult band "Okean Elzy", which just broke the local audience.
We had seen fireworks from the bus, which quickly drove media representatives to the plane. As the fireworks were set directly on the runway the fireworks like those shall be memorable.
Everyone hope to return to Kharkiv next year when 12-storey hotel in the centre of Kharkiv will be done and the reconstruction of old terminal building will be completed.
