Vitaliy Nedashkovskyy, the Deputy Director for Strategic Development of the International Airport "Kharkiv"
The concept of the airport consists of two main components: an airfield and air terminal. Construction of a modern airport complex is a very expensive project, and it can`t be done without government support. In Kharkiv, one can observe a good example of public-private partnership: the state builds the airfield complex, DCH company (represented by airport operator "New Systems AM") builds the airport terminal. Aleksandr Yaroslavskyy, acting as the general coordinator of Kharkiv's preparations for Euro 2012, believes it`s possible and interesting to invest in airport infrastructure. This project, in our opinion, is a promising and long-term one, and aims not only to prepare to receive Euro 2012guests, but also for the future.
Concerning the issue of prompt funding from the state, we may say that in the case of the Kharkiv airport, public authorities carry out their obligations and the airport construction proceeds without gaps. The positive progress may also include assistance at all levels of state and municipal authorities in the implementation of our project. It should be noted that the leadership of our country and our society is inspired with the idea of preparation for Euro 2012 and this fact really helps.
Perfection has no limits, and in our work there`s no place for emotions and frustration. All difficulties can be overcome and together with all parties involved we are working to resolve problems.
