The International airport "Kharkiv" started a charter program to carry out the direct flight "Kharkiv - Tel Aviv". A flight PS 7701/7702 on the aircraft of Boeing 737-800 type is serviced by the company Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) on order of "Bronnikova Travel agency". In March there were already two flights (03/19/12 and 03/26/12).
The flight is carrying out once a week on Mondays. The departure from Kharkov is at 5:30 am (the arriving in Tel Aviv at 8:40). The carrier provides the full-fledged meals (including kosher). On the board of the aircraft a Duty Free shop is working.
The charter program will be running until 4th of June this year. At present the conditions of the realization of the direct flights "Kharkiv - Tel Aviv" in summer and autumn is being discussed. It is planned that in autumn the frequency of the flights will be increased by 2 times (twice a week).
"Israel is a popular destination among our passengers, that is connected both with extensive business ties of the Kharkiv residents in this state and with a tourist potential of the region. I am sure that the residents of Slobozhanshchina will appreciate the work that we are doing to expand the geography of direct international flights", - said Vladimir Vasilchenko, the General Director of the "New Systems AM" company (the operating company of the International airport “Kharkiv”, a part of the DCH group of Aleksander Yaroslavskiy).
According to his words the company "Bronnikova Travel Agency", one of the partners of the International airport "Kharkiv", long time ago has set a goal to increase the number of the direct flights from the capital of Slobozhanshina. The direct flight to Tel Aviv is the first step towards the implementation of the plans of the agency. In the future, the company intends also to become a customer of the flights to Russia (St. Petersburg), Croatia (Split), the Czech Republic (Prague), the resort towns of Greece etc.
As previously reported, the geographical expansion of the direct air services for the International Airport "Kharkiv" is carrying out within a general strategy of the development of the "air gates" of Slobozhanshchina. A policy of expanding the air services between Kharkiv, on the one hand, and the most popular among the Kharkiv residents resorts and the main world capitals on the other hand, declared by Aleksander Yaroslavskiy (the owner and president of DCH group, the general investor and coordinator of Kharkiv's preparations for Euro-2012) is being realized in practice.
As is known the IA "Kharkiv" is one of the Ukrainian air objects of Euro 2012 and this year it will receive the football fans which will come from different countries to support the participants of the tournament. The reconstruction of the object is being held in the format of private-state partnership: the reconstruction of the airfield complex - at the expense of funds allocated from the State budget of Ukraine in the amount of $ 191.3 million; the construction of 2 new terminals, the restoration of the historic building of the terminal, the landscaping of the adjacent territory – at the expense of the private investment by Aleksander Yaroslavskiy in the amount of $ 107.2 million.
