Dear Colleagues!
Yesterday, one of the Kharkiv media with whom we work closely and cooperatively for many years, to our great regret posted the false information about the readiness of the new terminal of International Airport “Kharkiv”: http://www.objectiv.tv/160810/45437.html .
Please note that even though the direct speech of the airport representatives was transferred correctly, the author's text story is incorrect interpretation of their utterances.
To stop the spread of false information, on behalf of the DCH and its member companies "New Systems AM we officially declare the following:
- By the time of the opening of the new terminal of International Airport "Kharkiv", which will be held on August 28th (not 23rd as stated in the TV program), this facility will be ready for 100%: as the area of domestic flights and international flights area.
- The words of the representative of the airport «The terminal complex which we open, is designed on 650 passengers per hour. To this figure Kharkiv still needs to aspire and grow. Therefore we start not all systems of air terminal. We will gradually use them» meant that building of the new terminal will be followed by building work on other objects: reconstruction of an existing building, creation of the temporary terminal of Euro-2012, building of a new runway. Also that doesn`t mean the unavailability of the new terminal to reception and sending of passengers. On August, 28th the new terminal will accept and send regular flights to Kyiv (Dnepravia airline).
- Any attempt to spread the information that terminal building will not be finished in the declared term, should be seen as conscious false informating of the public.
Therefore we convincingly ask all representatives of mass-media to be patriots and not to undermine Kharkiv authority in the eyes of the Ukrainian and international public.
As already on August, 28th all country and foreign visitors from every corner of the globe will make sure that in «the first capital» there is an air terminal of the European level which will become not only the powerful contribution to preparation of the country to Euro-2012, but also a serious impulse of increase of investment appeal of region and the catalyst of its social and economic development.
Therefore we once again invite representatives of mass-media to visit terminal opening ceremony. Besides the celebratory program, journalists will be given an opportunity to examine new air terminal, to communicate to DCH management and the International airport "Kharkiv", and also to receive a blitz-interview of representatives of the central power, a diplomatic corps, the aviaindustry of the different countries and other official guests.
