Preparation of the third terminal of International airport "Kharkiv" is coming to an end. They began building the temporary terminal, which in December of 2010, already has a ready frame construction. This in an exclusive comment to Information Centre "Ukraine-2012", said Deputy Mayor of Kharkiv Aleksandr Krivtsov.
Simultaneously, according to Krivtsov, till the end of this year they plan to finish all other work in the international airport - the modernization of the runway, installation of new equipment, provision of operational management of flights, aprons repair etc. "By the winter of 2011 the airport will be fully prepared for Euro-2012", - concluded the deputy mayor.
After continental championship, the temporary terminal, with an area of 5,184 square meters will be transformed into a hangar for business aircraft - there will be storage, maintenance and repair of aircrafts. This facility will be similar to the already built in Kharkiv airport terminal. The hangar will have a glass facade, and the gate form the back side.
During the continental championship in 2012, the airport "Kharkiv" will have 3 terminals with a capacity of more than 2,550 passengers per hour (1300 pass. per hour - the new terminal, 1000 - temporary one and 250 - the old airport terminal).
