The recent novelty development of the national aircraft engineering, the An-148 first jet passenger liner of Ukrainian manufacture by Aerosvit Co., has made its first flight and landed in Kharkiv international airport. Alexander Davydov, the chief of the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine, representatives of Aerosvit top management and journalists have become its first passengers. On the way back, the craft has took commercial passengers on board also.
During the meeting guests at the airport Vladimir Vasil’chenko, the President and CEO of New Systems AM Company (DCH Group, the company investing into reconstruction of Kharkiv International Airport), drew the attention to the significance of the choice of Kharkiv international airport for the first landing of new craft is very significant. Kharkiv International Aiport is the air gateway of a big industrial region, one of the main centers of the country’s business life. Rout of the An-148 first craft is a spectacular example of carriers’ interests towards collaboration with our airport. This inspires optimism. Thus, we hope to see aircrafts of the biggest airlines in our airport after reconstruction because it is necessary both for development of Kharkiv economy and its inhabitants’ comfort» - Vladimir Vasil’chenko emphasized.
In its turn, Alexander Davydov, the chief of the State Aviation Administration, has prized the works on Kharkiv International Airport reconstruction carried out by the investor (DCH Group by Alexander Yaroslavskyi) in its interview to the representative of mass media: “I want to make an example of the Kharkiv airport to show how one can act without discussing problems. The revolutionary decision was made, real works are being carried out today, and there is actual progress, live investment. I cannot but am glad because the next stage is the reconstruction of flight strip, and the company revamping the airport is evident to make a great prospect of it”.
