Reconstruction of an old building of airport "Kharkiv" will cost 5-6 mln. dollars

Reconstruction of an old building of International airport "Kharkiv" which will be carried out by the company «New Systems АМ», will cost 5-6 million dollars and will begin in one and a half-two months.

As UNIAN correspondent reported, it was declared by the president of DCH company, the main investor, the coordinator of Kharkiv preparation to Euro-2012 Aleksandr YAROSLAVSKYY yesterday during a briefing at opening of the new terminal of the airport.

«As soon as we completely start the new terminal, and this is happening in one and a half-two months, we will begin reconstruction of the old one. It will cost 5-6 million dollars», - A. YAROSLAVSKYY has told.

He noted that after reconstruction the old building will keep the basic architectural lines of "a Stalin epoch», but will be thus considerably modernized.

«It will be an exclusive complex on the verge of two epochs – Stalin and new independent Ukraine. We will make the old terminal in style of that time: women in kokoshniks, vodka in glasses, salted cucumbers from Russia. Everything as it should be.", - A. YAROSLAVSKYY has underlined.

As UNIAN informed, on August, 28th in Kharkiv there was a solemn opening of the new terminal of the international airport within the limits of preparation of Ukraine for Euro-2012. The President of Ukraine Victor YANUKOVYCH has taken part and spoke in event.

The new terminal is designed on 650 passengers per hour. The project of preparation of airport "Kharkiv" to Euro-2012 provides also reconstruction of a historical premise of air terminal, a construction of the temporary terminal, building of a new runway, road service station.

The international airport "Kharkiv" is reconstructed within the limits of preparation for Euro-2012. Project realization has begun on April, 1st, 2008 after the company «New Systems АМ» (DCH group) has won competition on rent of a complete property complex of the airport. The total cost of works on reconstruction of International airport "Kharkov" makes UAH 1086.53 million.
