The old terminal of Kharkiv airport will be reconstructed in October. About this at the opening of the new terminal, said general investor and coordinator of Kharkiv's preparation for Euro-2012 Aleksandr Yaroslavskyy.
According to him, the reconstruction of the old terminal will begin immediately after the commissioning of the new one. "This will be an exclusive complex that will combine the modern era and the era of Stalinism. We will make this terminal in the old style: there will be served vodka in faceted glasses and salted cucumbers," - said Mr. Yaroslavskyy. Recall that the old airport premises will be used later as a terminal for VIP-persons.
The head of the Directorate for Construction Aleksandr Sivalnev told reporters, that now a reconstruction draft is being done. "There are some features, because the building is an architectural landmark. For example, there are murals on the walls, which must be saved", - said A. Sivalnev.
Aleksandr Yaroslavskyy noted that the preliminary cost of reconstruction – UAH 30 million.
