Director of Euro 2012, Martin Kallen said about the progress in the preparation of Kharkiv for the finals of the UEFA European Football Championship 2012 in the last four months. He said this after opening and inspection of the new passenger terminal of International airport "Kharkiv". "We are very pleased with noticeable progress in Kharkiv, which goes in the right direction," - said Cullen.
Tournament Director stressed that the new terminal meets all international requirements, and that it has impressed him with its multifunctionality. And yet - no less important: the first aircraft object to the Euro-2012 was commissioned on time.
"Promises on specific objects are delivered - and it's great that a new terminal opened. We can now firsthand experience the result of our fruitful cooperation. I think that is a very good airport, and it will change the life of the city, which now will have more traffic and more people", - said Kallen.
At the same time representative of UEFA said that next 16 months are ahead of them, Kharkiv and Ukraine as a whole had still many challenges that must also be carried out promptly and in accordance with international requirements. "And yet we are more than confident in the success of 2012" - he stressed.
