Kharkiv’s mayor has no doubt that the city will host Euro-2012

The territorial community of Kharkiv will be ready to meet all the UEFA’s requirements by May 15, when the final assessment of the readiness of cities competing to host the Euro-2012 matches will be held.

Mr Mayor has also confirmed that the stadium will be completed already in 2009. According to Mr Dobkin, at the next session of the City Council in February, the city authorities are going to allot a subvention of UAH 10 mln for construction of this facility. In total, Metallist works are funded by three sources: the regional and municipal budgets and by the strategic investor of the project – DCH company. <o:p></o:p></SPAN></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt; TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><SPAN lang=EN-US style="mso-ansi-language: EN-US">The reconstruction works at the Kharkiv airport are also being performed at full swing. According to Mr Dobkin, the preparatory work is to be completed in February, and installation works at the new terminal will begin. Preparation of health care facilities, construction of roads and transport interchanges are also going in full compliance with the plans.
