Comprehensive implementation of technological solutions proposed by SITA will allow the airport to double the capacity and provide the highest service for air carriers and passengers during the European football championship projected in the year 2012 in Ukraine.
July, the 2nd, 2009, Moscow – SITA Company, a supplier of informational and telecommunication solutions for air industry, and DCH Group, the operator of Kharkiv International Airport (in the name of New Systems AM Company) declares the signature of a five-year contract on supply and integration of information and technological solutions in the new terminal of Kharkiv International Airport in Ukraine. This is the first project within the creation of airport infrastructure on the territory of Eastern and Central Europe. The new terminal with the area of 20, 000 square meters will be commissioned in April, next year. By the year 2011 it will serve up to 650 000 passengers per a year.
Implementation of the state-of-the-art solutions by SITA Company will allow the airport to increase the capacity twice holding up to 1000 persons per an hour of arrival and leaving as well as increase the quality of service for passenger airlines on the threshold the Football Championship of Europe that will take place in Ukraine and Poland in 2012.
