Kharkiv Airport buys new special equipment: by the end of 2011 a large amount of obsolete equipment and special vehicles will be replaced.
Kharkiv Airport in December-January will receive new special equipment: snow cutter, deicer for treatment the aircraft with special deicing fluid, tractor and the ground starting unit.
This was said by Deputy Director for Strategic Development of New Systems AM, which manages the airport Vitaliy Nedashkovskyy during an online conference on avianews.com.
"In accordance with the business plan, we plan the complete modernization of technical equipment and of special vehicles of the airport. Until the end of 2011 most of the obsolete equipment will be replaced", - said Vitaliy Nedashkovskyy.
In this direction, the airport is also working with handling company Swissport - two new apron buses and the bridge are already been used.
"Moreover, given the fact that by the end of 2011 we`ll have modern-signal system and a means of landing aircrafts – we`ll have more options when working in difficult climatic conditions", - said the deputy director of the New Systems AM.
