In the Kharkiv airport they begin to build the temporary terminal-hangar

"Temporary terminal will be located on the right of the old terminal and its form/style will be similar to the new passenger terminal.

At the Airport "Kharkiv", began work on clearing the site, on which will be built "temporary terminal", the press service of the airport says.

The new building will allow from the one hand, to significantly increase the airport's capacity during the UEFA EURO 2012 (1 thousand passengers per hour), but on the other hand - will give fans the possibility of separating the different teams.

Thus one of the passengers will go through the new terminal, opened on August 28, while the other - through temporary one.

The building will be a hangar with area of 5 thousand 184 square meters. The shape of the building will look like a new passenger terminal and will be on the right of the old airport terminal.

At the time of Euro-2012 the "temporary terminal" will be equipped with desks, control stations, waiting rooms.

In the design and construction of "temporary terminal" were involved the same companies that the case with the new terminal: design company - LLC Arkstoun and general contractor - LLC Stalconstructsiya.

Investment will amount to about $ 5 million, which the management company New Systems AM (a member of Aleksandr Yaroslavskyy`s DCH group) plans to spend up to autumn 2011.

After completion of the European continental football championship the building will be used for other functional purpose - as a hangar of business aviation: 75% of the area itself will shed 25% of the forecourt - the showroom of companies representing Ukraine in the interests of manufacturers of aircrafts and helicopters.

A few weeks ago in the airport Kharkiv there has also began the reconstruction of the old terminal, which, after completion of all works, will be done in original form of "Stalinist times". It will house a VIP-hall and restaurant.
