Oleksandr Iaroslavskyi`s DCH group continues to invest in the development of the International Airport "Kharkiv".
Thus, recently was purchased three new snow machines. As the correspondent UNIAN was told in the press service of DCH, which implements projects of Kharkiv preparation for Euro 2012, purchase of equipment is carried out under the program of modernization and renovation of airport technical equipment, whose ultimate goal is the need to meet the latest requirements in the sector of international air traffic.
Heavy snowfall and icy conditions this year, the report said, have created a lot of problems at airports around the world and even caused a complete delay of flights in some regions. One reason for the failures of pilots is outdated and low-powered snow equipment, which can not cope with clearing of the runway.
According to the press service, now there`s a complete replacement and upgrading of special transport and airport facilities. A first step was the purchase of three new specialized vehicles. Since that time, there will be no problems with snow removal at the airport "Kharkiv" in any weather - a powerful special machinery is capable to quickly and efficiently clear snow drifts. This technique can be used all year round, as it has a universal equipment for road works.
"Now in any weather International Airport "Kharkiv " can rhythmically and steadily carry out scheduled flights in either direction," - the report underlines. Also in the near future for the airport there will be purchased telescopic ladders of world famous manufacturer Thyssen Krupp Airport Systems. The total investment in the purchase of snow machines, and air bridges exceeded 21 million."
As reported earlier, Oleksandr Iaroslavskyi, the general investor and coordinator of Kharkiv's preparations for Euro 2012, has invested in the development of the region more than 250 million dollars. Funds were invested in reconstruction and construction of facilities such as airport, stadium, children's football academy, a training base, 5* hotel on Svobody square. Iaroslavskyi`s private investment in the reconstruction of the International Airport "Kharkiv" is about 90 million dollars (the airport complex and surrounding area). Currently there`s reconstruction of the historical building of the existing terminal and construction of a temporary terminal for the reception of the fans of Euro 2012 during the tournament at the terminal.
