Flights to Odessa, Lviv and Sevastopol from Kharkiv will fly again
Soon it will be possible to fly to Lviv and Odessa from Kharkiv

In addition to the additional flights within the country soon in our airport will open the international one - to the Turkish city Istanbul, as well as the capitals of Germany (Berlin), France (Paris) and Poland (Warsaw).

Soon it will be possible to fly to Lviv and Odessa from Kharkiv. This was told by the deputy director of the International Airport "Kharkiv" Vitaliy Nedashkovskiy. According to him, the new flights will be opened later this year. The next scheduled new route - to Sevastopol.

A quarter of a century ago there were flights from Kharkiv to each regional centre, but with the beginning of the nineties flights were declined, and for many years there was only a flight to the Ukrainian capital. Range of current international routes is much wider: the list of overseas flights - Moscow, Tbilisi, Antalya, Sharm el-Sheik, Vienna, Hurghada. Now more cities in foreign countries were added.

Already on October 21, on a Boeing 737 in just a couple of hours you will be able fly to Istanbul. Flights to and from there will fly every night: from Turkey to Kharkiv aircraft would fly at a quarter to two in the morning, and would fly back in an hour and already at five in the morning - again to Istanbul. According to the info-service, a round trip ticket will cost around one hundred euro.

But the cost of flight to Berlin, Paris and Warsaw they don`t know at the airport yet. They only know that two German and one Ukrainian air carrier has already agreed on opening and servicing a flight to Berlin. And one will be able to fly to the capital of France and Poland not earlier than the spring of 2011. Now, as reported at the airport, there are negotiations about opening a flight to Italy, but what kind of city - while also unknown.

Recall that in late August, the airport opened a new terminal, capable of flowing two million passengers a year. It's more than even in Soviet times, when the maximum capacity of the Kharkiv airport was 900,000 passengers.
