Chairman of the DCH Group Aleksandr Yaroslavskyy on June 7 opened the International Forum "AEROFORUM.UA", which takes place in Kharkiv. He welcomed the forum participants and expressed the hope that "they will make quit useful contacts and sign contracts". In addition, guests of the Forum were welcomed by the chairman of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Mikhail Dobkin, Chairman of the Regional Council Sergey Chernov and Acting Kharkiv city head Gennadiy Kernes. According to Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Boris Kolesnikov, a number of works on the organization of air transportation infrastructure is planned to be done in Ukraine in the next 1.5 years. Not later than October 2011 runway a length of 2.5 km and a width of 45 m will be built at the Kharkiv airport, in Lviv Airport – a terminal with area of 29 thousand square m and a runway a length of 3 km 200 m and a width of 45 m, two terminals (one area of 20-22 sq m, as in Kharkov) will be built at the airport Borispol (Kyiv region), Donetsk airport in 2011 will build a terminal area of 52 square meters and a runway of 4 km in length and width of 60 m.
B. Kolesnikov said that after the Euro 2012 they will begin to build new air infrastructure facilities in Odessa and the Crimea.
As stated by B. Kolesnikov, in Ukraine there are works to simplify the visa regime with EU countries. "It is important for carriers," - said Boris Kolesnikov. According to him, the monopolization of the country's aviation market has led to the cost of airplane tickets to a distance of 100 km, for example, in Germany is 11 euro, in Ukraine - 22 euro.
