On June 2, 2012 a direct flight "Kharkiv - Barcelona" will start working. The flight will be carried out by the company "Ukraine International Airlines' (UIA) in partnership with the tour operators ("Natalie Tours", "Pegas Touristik" etc.), but some tickets will be available in a free sale on the website and at the ticket offices of UIA. The estimated cost of a ticket in both directions will be $ 400-450 with all the necessary fees.
Every week from June to late September two flights on the route "Kharkiv-Barcelona" will be carried out. The flight “PS-7155" will take place on Saturdays with departure from Kharkiv at 19:20 and arriving in Barcelona at 23:50 (the return flight “PS-7156" - on Sundays with departure from Barcelona at 00:50 and arriving in Kharkiv in 05:10). The flight “PS-5157" will take place on some weeks on Tuesdays, on others - on Fridays (the return flight “PS-5158" - on Wednesdays and Saturdays respectively).

The direct flight on the route "Kharkiv-Barcelona" will be carried out on the aircrafts of “Boeing 737-400” type with a total capacity of 168 seats. The total duration of the flight will be about 3.5 hours.

The total investment in the project by Aleksander Yaroslavskiy is $ 107.2 million (the airport complex and the surrounding area). The amount of funding allocated from the State budget for the reconstruction of the airport complex (including the construction of the airfield control tower) is $ 191.3 million.
