DCH Group President, investor and general coordinator of Kharkiv preparation for Euro 2012 Aleksandr Yaroslavskyy supports steps of the Ukrainian authorities to intensify country praparation for the European Football Championship 2012.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, this businessman told reporters after the conference "Euro 2012: long-term investment opportunities in hotels and leisure sector in Ukraine", held May 31 in Kyiv.

"It was the conference, which gathered business people. Personally, I as DCH president and general investor of Kharkiv preparation for Euro 2012 was interested. From our side we have not presented projects and models, but concrete results", - said A. Yaroslavskyy.

He said the conference "has clearly demonstrated interest of the country's leadership in the development of hotel industry in host cities for Euro 2012."

"Support from the state in this sector is particularly important. The country needs modern hotels, so the government and business should work together to build them" - said A. Yaroslavskyy.

He believes that steps declared by the state "reduce the risk and instill confidence that Ukraine will meet Euro-2012 properly prepared".

"It is important that the government actually pays attention to the preparations for Euro 2012. It is encouraging", - said A. Yaroslavskyy.

As UNIAN reported earlier, speaking at the conference "Euro 2012 ia a long-term investment opportunities in hotels and leisure sector in Ukraine", President Viktor Yanukovych stressed that "we need to effectively use the time remaining for this event, for the development of hotel business". The President said that in the context of preparations for Euro 2012 will be made a number of bills which, inter alia, "include easing the tax burden on enterprises of hotel business, simplify procedures for issuing permits and licensing for them". Some of these laws already passed the first reading, he said, noting that they likely will be finally approved in June.
