Yantsevsky Open Pit Produces the First Lot of Chip

On September 5, 2008, OAO Yantsevsky Granitny Karyer (Zaporizhia Region, Volnyansky District) was put into operation, a production complex manufacturing chip. First lots of the product will be delivered to consumers as early as at the end of this month. This event was marked by the visit of Aleksandr Starukh, the governor of the Zaporizhia Region, who highly estimated not only the economic prospects of the project, but also its social importance, since the plant operating at the projected capacity will allow enhancing the resource base of the construction sector and provide for the creation of new working places. The project’s main investor is DCH Group represented by OOO Ukrainian Mineral Mining Company (UMMC). Over 4 million dollars have already been invested in the large-scale reconstruction of the enterprise. The planned output capacity reaches 1 million tonnes of chip.
