Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appreciated the pace of construction of the Kharkiv airport. "I can`t give an overall assessment of Kharkiv's preparations for Euro 2012, but the airport - what I saw was encouraging," – said on May 22 in the press center of the news agency "STATUS QUO" Volodymyr Lytvyn. "We need to greet foreign guests not in barns, but in a modern building. The fact that it`s being done is a plus. The main thing is that the runway would be built on time and Kharkiv will be able to receive aircrafts of all flights and classes", - said chairman of parliament.
According to V. Lytvyn, on May 21 the parliament adopted a law which provides a number of preferences for works on preparation for EURO 2012. "Two of the laws we have seen as a basis, and on 3 June, they will be fully adopted. Investors take big government benefits from these laws, and this is what should appeal to investors", - said Volodymyr Lytvyn. "My concern is only one tehnichal question: when will these preferences no longer operate and whether it will happen after 2012?" - said chairman of parliament.
