Delegation, headed by UEFA President Michel Platini arrived in Kharkiv. A surprise is waiting Michel Platini in the Kharkiv airport – the opening of the vip-terminal.
The delegation includes UEFA General Secretary Gianni Infantino, , the executive director of the UEFA Events SA David Taylor, Commissioner of the UEFA EURO 2012 Jacques Lambert and COO UEFA Events SA Martin Kallen.
In Kharkiv, Michel Platini, except Kharkiv`s main investor of Euro 2012 Aleksander Yaroslavskiy, is met by the RSA chairman Michael Dobkin, the mayor, Gennadiy Kernes, their deputies, as well as the chief of State Internal Affair Ministry in the Kharkiv region, Mikhail Martynov.
As the correspondent of "MediaPort" said, for the arrival of the UEFA president they`ve prepared a surprise - opening of the vip-terminal.
The old – the last one - terminal they began to reconstruct more than a year ago, in September 2010.
Today it is ready to be presented to representatives of the Union of European Football Associations. Red tape on the door, the orchestra at the entrance, retro-car from Samohody club at the parking lot near the terminal.
Aleksander Yaroslavskiy, the owner of DCH group, which invests money in the airport, personally conducted tour of the terminal. Vodka and pickles, as he promised, were there – informed the "MediaPort" correspondent.
The interior corresponds to the project, which was shown back in July.
Yaroslavskiy suggested that journalists have a drink of vodka and even raised his glass himself. Whether he drank it or not - see later in the report on the website of "MediaPort"
The updated terminal is planned to be split into two: to arrange area for the VIP- passengers in one, and to restore the restaurant, which worked from the opening day of the old airport building in the second one. After the reconstruction of the old terminal capacity will increase from 100 to 250 people per hour. During the Euro 2012 this building will be used alongside the new terminal.
