The priorities in the preparations for Euro 2012 in Kharkiv are the airport and the stadium, said deputy prime minister Boris Kolesnikov during his visit to Kharkiv. But he promised to help with the construction of a subway station.

Metalist stadium, thanks to local authorities, the investor O. Iaroslavskyi and the State is built. Some minor changes under the regulations UEFA will be made, the vice premier said during the visit.

"In Kharkiv the situation is better than in Lviv, but there is no choice: we must make sure that all four cities had a decent Euro-2012", - he said.

Speaking about the priorities of work in preparation for the European Championship, he noted that "the stadiums, airport - is the most important thing. Then - the road.

"But I think that the state should help with one subway station", - said Boris Kolesnikov during the inspection of "Internationalnaya" ("Alekseevskaya") station under construction.

On examination he was accompanied by Secretary of Kharkiv City Council Gennadiy Kernes, first vice-mayor Krivtsov, head of the Kharkiv regional council Chernov, Euro-2012 tournament director for Ukraine Markiyan Lubkivsky and other officials.

After the subway Vice Prime Minister met at the airport to see its reconstruction and to meet with local authorities and investors.
