UkrAeroProekt research institute has completed development of a reconstruction project for the airfield complex of Kharkiv international airport.
UkrAeroProekt research institute has completed development of a reconstruction project for the airfield complex of Kharkiv international airport. The project was forwarded to the customer – Kharkiv City Center of Real Estate. This was announced by general director of Kharkiv international airport Vladimir Vasilchenko in his message to New Systems AM. We remind that New Systems AM company (a part of DCH Group) is the operating company of reconstruction of the airport, in particular, it is responsible for development of the new terminal.<BR>According to Vladimir Vasilchenko, the project of reconstruction of the airfield complex will be forwarded for an expert evaluation to the UkrGosStroiExpertiza under the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction.<BR>Reconstruction of the airfield complex should be financed by the state budget. It is planned to allocate about UAH 260 mln for these purposes, and by the present moment already UAH 1.6 mln has been allocated from the state budget for development of the reconstruction project. If the current project undergoes the valuation successfully, it will be possible to start actual construction works, - Vladimir Vasichenko said.<BR>Currently the airport has a paved runway of 2220х50 m, the pavement construction number is PCN-40. The latest reconstruction of the runway was performed in the 1980ies. The current reconstruction project envisages extension of the runway up to 2.470 m with increasing the PCN number up to 400, which will enable the airport to accommodate such planes as Airbus A-320 and Boeing B-737.<BR>
