On February 7 in Warsaw at the draw ceremony of the qualifying tournament of European Football Championship in 2012 Deputy Mayor Igor Shurma and Victor Khrystoyev presented Kharkiv.
As the deputy mayor – manager of department of preparation and hosting of the final tournament of football European championship in 2012 Viktor Khrystoyev told, a presentational movie about the cultural, historical and memorable places of our city and the Kharkiv stand were presented to the UEFA representatives. The most popular promotional items were the ones with the image of Kharkiv stadium, fan zone, training base and other places.
Ukrainians Myron Markevych, Oleg Blohin and Andriy Shevchenko took direct participation in the draw.
As reported by the "Sportivniy Dozor", the draw of Qualifier European Football Championship in 2012 took place on Sunday in Warsaw. Ukraine and Poland on the Rights of the tournament organizers do not participate in the qualifying tournament and will automatically participate in the final of Euro 2012.
