On December 14 there was publicly presented one of the most important objects of Euro 2012 - a five-star hotel "Kharkiv Palace", which was harmoniously fit into the architectural design of the center of the first capital. The first visitors were taken on the same day.
The President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych was supposed to visit the official opening of the hotel. But due to bad weather he was unable to fly to Kharkiv. Therefore, the new hotel was presented by the director of Euro 2012 in Ukraine Markiyan Lubkivsky, UEFA chief operating officer Martin Kallen, and main investor Aleksander Yaroslavskiy.
On February 1 the hotel will open all the doors and begin full operation. Since late January, they will sell rooms. But for the time of Euro 2012 the hotel is about 90% booked. This was told during the presentation of the hotel by hotel director Olga Sokolenko.
As you know, the hotel will accommodate UEFA target groups. And also it will be a mini-headquarters of UEFA, where the meetings, accreditation will be held, and there will be an office of Michel Platini or Martin Cullen. In a word, "Kharkiv Palace" will become modular center, which will keep continuous communication with the headquarters in Kyiv.
The new hotel can be called very unique, because it is not adjacent to any building and is located in the city center near the largest square in Europe. This hotel is in the style of Kharkiv "constructivism" to the taste of Aleksander Yaroslavskiy. He personally approved every detail and oversaw the entire design process. We can say that the object looks very, very attractive. This is noted by almost everyone who passes by this building.
And as to the inner content, it is even more interesting. The hotel has total 180 rooms, which have different categories: from the classic to presidential. But the prices are, respectively: from UAH 1600 to UAH 6000. However, the price matches the quality. Convenience, comfort and attractiveness are in the first place there. There is also a representative floor and a presidential suite. On the 11th floor there is located a sky lounge with panoramic view on the city. "Kharkiv Palace" has five unique restaurants with various cuisines. In general, fans from different countries and the first guests of the capital will feel complete comfort here. In addition, the hotel has a lobby bar, SPA-center, multi-purpose hall, shopping and entertainment facilities.
The hotel personnel is still understaffed, but more than half the staff has already been formed. They will undergo special training.
Hotel owner Aleksander Yaroslavskiy is very proud of his contribution to the hospitality industry: "The main thing is that this hotel will be for Kharkiv citizens, for Kharkiv city visitors, for UEFA family, for football. Euro will end, the hotel will stay... we will replace the five-star shortage with six-stars. If there would be a competition for the best hotel of the tournament, it would certainly be the first."
"Kharkiv Palace" in addition to its importance during the Euro 2012 will much improve the tourist aspect of the Kharkiv city, and make it much more attractive.
Soon photos from the opening of the hotel will appear.
