Facing works have begun in the new terminal of airport Kharkiv

In the new terminal of International Airport "Kharkiv" started work on laying floor tiles and installation of suspended ceilings.

This the Construction manager Oleksiy Sivalnev of company "New Systems AM", which is part of DCH group, owned by Oleksandr Iaroslavskyi - general investor and coordinator of Kharkiv preparation for Euro-2012 told to UNIAN.

 As he told, about 80% of the total planned volume of work will be done until June 6 this year. Installation of ceiling and laying tiles will be completed in three months, with the expectation that the object would be ready for commissioning by Day of the city of Kharkiv (August 23).

Construction manager told that they`ll need to lay more than 8 thousand meters of tiles. And 6 thousand square meters of tile will go to floors in representative areas and about 2 thousand square meters - to the floors in technical areas (bathrooms, hallways, etc.). In addition, the lease areas (office and retail space) will be laid with linoleum and other floor coverings. In the luggage sector has already been completed the installation of  herkulith floors. Ceilings of Russian and Ukrainian production will also be installed in the mentioned terms.

Info. International airport "Kharkiv" – one of the most important reconstructed for Euro-2012 objects. The project was started April 1, 2008, when the company "New Systems AM" (DCH group, president - O. Iaroslavskyi) won the competition for the rental of a complete property complex of the Kharkiv airport.

The reconstruction project includes the construction of a new terminal, reconstruction of existing one, construction of a new runway and apron repair, improvement of the station square. Technological scheme of passenger services was developed by German company Airport Research Center. After completing the reconstruction, Kharkiv will receive a modern international airport capable of accommodating various types of aircraft Airbus A-320 and Boeing B-737. The new terminal with area of more than 20 thousand square meters will increase passenger service to 650 thousand people per year by 2011. It is also planned the reconstruction of the hotel at the International airport "Kharkiv" and the creation of a modern car parking. In addition, according to UEFA requirements, there will be offices, waiting rooms for drivers built.
