As reported in the office of the company DCH I&RE, which manages three Karavan Shopping Centres in Kyiv, Dnipro, and Kharkiv, an engineering and technical examination of the Kharkiv building has begun, the purpose of which is to analyse the state of metal structures and engineering systems. In three months, the company's management expects to receive conclusions regarding the further safe use of the shopping centre building and design solutions for its complete restoration. The estimated reconstruction budget will amount to UAH 150 million. “By the fall of this year, we plan to start the restoration of work after receiving the conclusions of the examination and final calculations. We hope to do it without various force majeures and make everything on time. We really missed our Karavan in Kharkiv; it is the flagship of our network. Therefore, we reinvest, we believe, and we will do everything to continue to justify the trust of our guests, return stable demand among tenants, surprise and give new impressions to the Kharkiv city citizens,” commented Iryna Povarchuk, CEO of DCH I&RE.
Let us remind you that the building of the Karavan Shopping Centre suffered several times from enemy rocket fire during the first months of 2022. The facility suffered the most damage on 07 April, when the roof and upper floors of the building caught fire as a result of the fire that broke out after the shelling.
