Sukha Balka (Kryvyi Rih) is one of the key enterprises of the mining and smelting industry in Ukraine specializing in iron ore underground mining. Was established in the 19th century (1885). Consists of two mines with underground crushing, surface crushing, and grading complexes: Yuvileina Mine (productive capacity of 2,250 ths. t of sintering ore per year) and Frunze Mine (productive capacity of 1,050 ths. t of sintering ore per year).

The iron content in the salable ore varies from 56 to 62%. In 2018, the enterprise launched manufacture of new top quality products with iron content of 64%.

Raw ore output at Sukha Balka was 1 mln t in 2024, salable output made 917 ths. t. The rock mass volume made up about 7.7 ths cbm. The total length of tunneling works was 94 km. The investments into equipment renovation equaled UAH 43 mln.

Besides high-grade iron ore, the minefields contain substantial deposits of magnetite quartzite sufficient for several hundred years of development.
