Kharkiv International Airport is one of the largest airports in Ukraine. It was fully reconstructed in the format of a public-private partnership within the preparation of Kharkiv to Euro-2012. DCH performed construction of modern passenger and cargo terminals from scratch, did the restoration and reprofiling of the old terminal historic building, and redevelopment of the adjacent territory. Besides that, DCH coordinated the aerodrome construction and now manages the entire airport as an operating entity.

The total area of the airport is more than 25 ths. sq. km. The handling capacity is 990 passengers/hour. According to the assessment of Airport Consulting Vienna, the potential passenger flow can be up to 4.5 mln persons/year.

The largest passenger flow of 1.34 mln people was reached in 2019. Due to Kharkiv’s location, such airline companies as Wizz Air, Turkish Airlines, Ryanair, Pegasus, LOT Polish Airlines, SkyUp Airlines, WINDROSE, UIA, Bees Airline, etc. performed direct flights throughout Ukraine and other countries from Kharkiv airport.
