New Kharkiv-Batumi flight to launch in June 2014

Starting from 14 June 2014, a new direct flight is openning between Kharkiv and Batumi (the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Georgia).

Batumi is a new tourist destination for the majority of Ukrainians. In many ways it even surpasses some famous foreign resorts. The exotic nature inherent to subtropics, clean warm sea (bathing season in Batumi lasts from March to October), developed infrastructure, a great variety of sights, active night life and renowned Caucasian cuisine are not the only things on an list of advantages of this resort which is called the pearl of Adjara for a good reason. And then Batumi’s “cherry on top” is the longest and well-developed quay on the whole Black Sea coast, a perfect place for day walks and evening promenades.

Flights from Kharkiv International Airport to Batumi will be operated by UIA on Boeing 737 aircrafts. Originally, the flights will be carried out twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays. Return flights are scheduled for Fridays and Mondays. Approximate cost of a roundtrip ticket will be from 2790 UAH, all taxes and charges included.

“New low-cost flight to Batumi promises to become a great alternative to vacations in the Crimea. The quality of service and infrastructure at Adjara resorts fully correspond to European standards. The affordable cost of the flight only makes it even more attractive. We hope this route will be popular with Kharkiv and nearby regions citizens. It has everything for that,” commented Kharkiv International Airport General Director Vladimir Vasylchenko.
