International Airport "Kharkiv" summed up the results for May 2013. According to the study, ridership this month amounted to 50.5 thousand people, which is 32% more than the same period in 2012 - 38.2 thousand. Moreover, 43.4 thousand passengers used the services of international flights (+ 51% compared to May 2012), 7.1 thousand - domestic (-24%). The downward trend in the volume of passenger traffic on domestic flights which was observed for the first half of 2013 has preserved. At the same time, the increase of passenger traffic on international flights is observed on the one hand due to the start of the holiday season, on the other - to the geographical expansion of international air routes. In general, for the January - May 2013 the volume of passenger traffic grew by 36% compared to the same period last year (143.3 thousand) and amounted to 194.9 thousand people.
As for the sortie, in May 2013 were performed in a total 405 of these (9% more than last year - 370). 282 of them were international (31% in 2012, the figure was 216 sorties), domestic - 123 (-20% compared with 154 sorties in the past year). In general, during the first five months of this year from the International Airport "Kharkiv" 1697 sortie were performed: 1073 on international flights and 624 on the domestic. Punctuality of flights at the airport in Kharkiv to date is 99% of the total number of completed, only 14 flights out of 1,697 were detained.
