On July 11, 2008, the Kharkiv City Council gave a report to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the progress of city authorities in solving problems concerning the preparation of transport, sport and hotel infrastructures and medical services for EURO 2012. The General Plan of the framework to secure holding the final part of Euro 2012 will be adjusted to reflect the results of this report.
Among other documents presented, there were materials from the Complex Program for the Preparation of Kharkiv for EURO 2012. Participants in the meeting highly regarded the DCH projects for which USD 607 mln worth of investments is planned. Based on the presentation, a number of decisions were made which will provide a better investment climate to execute reconstruction projects on such properties as Metallist Regional Sport Complex, Kharkov International airport, and the training ground for Metallist football club.
