March 2 at the International Airport "Kharkov" was presented a new direct scheduled flight Kharkov-Warsaw. This is the fourth project of the largest Polish airline LOT in Ukraine - previously airline has opened direct flights to Warsaw from Kiev, Odessa and Lvov.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by senior representatives of Polish side: Dzedzichek Yang, Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland; Yang Badovskiy, Adviser to the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland; Miroslaw Stawski, Deputy Director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland; Rafal Milcharski, president of the «LOT» airlines; Adrian Kubicki, «LOT» airlines Executive Director of Corporate Affairs and Public Relations; Henryk Litwin, Ambassador of Poland in Ukraine; Pan Janusz Yablonsky, the new General Consul of Poland in Kharkov; Panna Martina Lesik, Deputy Consul of General Consulate of the Republic of Poland. "This event is not only commercial but also political in nature, - said Deputy Minister. - Its launch means that our countries have become closer to each other. And for us, the Poles, it is very important. We want to be with you, especially at this difficult time for Ukraine."
One of the key advantages of the new route, despite a convenient and short trip, is the availability of a wide range of proposals for transfer. Passengers traveling from Kharkov, will be able to quickly reach not only the Polish capital, but also, due to short connections to Warsaw, many other cities in Europe and the world. Including Asia and North America.

The implementation of a joint project with LOT has become an important step for the International airport "Kharkov", which will increase passengers’ traffic volume. To a large extent, this will be provided by democratic price policy of the Polish airline.
In general, 2015 - beginning of 2016 for the Kharkov airport was a period of active development. Despite the unstable economic situation, there was discovered and revived a number of perspective flights (Minsk, Kutaisi, Istanbul, Tel-Aviv and others.), сharters to the popular seaside and ski resorts and tourist centers of the world.
Expanding the geography of flights has positive impact on passenger traffic volume. However, now this figure does not reach the record figure of 2012/13., when the International Airport "Kharkov" worked with a very high loads, and has demonstrated its considerable potential. As you know, during the continental championship in football, the airport took up to 30 flights per day, and passenger volume amounted to 604 thousand people in 2013.
In 2015, this figure amounts 20 flights and 373 thousand passengers daily. At the same time, there are all prerequisites to the fact that the expansion of the route network and the optimization of working processes will very soon allow the airport to reach "a new orbit." Fortunately, its infrastructure capabilities designed to serve up to 2 million passengers per year, and technical capabilities (2500 x 45 m runway, new taxiways and so forth) allow taking a variety of aircrafts.

As you know, the International Airport "Kharkov» (http://hrk.aero/), one of the key infrastructure objects of Kharkov, was established in the framework of the city's preparation for the European Football Championship 2012 finals. Start to large-scale project construction and reconstruction of MAX was given in 2008, when the company "New Systems AM» (DCH Group of Alexander Iaroslavsky, the general investor and coordinator of Kharkov's preparations for Euro 2012, in 2005-2012 -.
