Dutch Investigation Team of the MH-17 Catastrophe left Kharkiv

On Thursday, the 7th of May in the Hotel Kharkiv Palace 5* a farewell evening of the Dutch delegation of the International Investigation Team that conducts the investigation of the catastrophe of Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777-200 took place. The event happened in Sky Lounge Restaurant that is situated on the 11th floor of the hotel. The night was hosted by the DCH group that assisted the international specialists throughout the entire period of work of the mission as the receiving side. In particular, the company helped organize a series of events in Kharkiv International Airport. Also, at the initiative of the beneficiary of the group Oleksadr Yaroslavsky, the delegation could use the hotel rooms and conference halls of Kharkiv Palace 5* free of charge for the entire period of investigation.

In his official letter to the heads of the Dutch delegation Oleksandr Yaroslavsky noted: “Please let us once againg express our deepest condolences to the people of the Kingdom of the Netherlands regarding the crash of Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777-200 operating the flight nr MH17 and the tragic deaths of your compatriots. The team of DCH group shares your pain and grieves with you. I would also like to underline my willingness to further assist the official representatives of the Kingdom of the Netherlands both in investigation into the circumstances of the air crash, and in other situations that will require for the official delegations to stay in Kharkiv”.

The abovementioned letter was delivered to the Dutch delegation by the general manager of the hotel Olha Sokolenko. After her speech the employees of Kharkiv Palace 5* brought vyshyvankas (Ukrainian traditional embroidered shirts) for the Dutch team. After the official ceremony a stand up party with Ukrainian live music by the band Vorittya took place.

The farewell dinner was the last official event of the International Investigation Team that conducts the investigation of the catastrophe of Malaysia Airlines MH17 flight. The representatives of the Dutch delegation shall leave Kharkiv soon.

As it had been announced earlier, the catastrophe of Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777-200 conducting the flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur took place on June 17th 2014 at the territory of Donetsk region. 283 passengers and 15 crew members died in the crash. The victims were citizens of 10 countries, including 192 citizens of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

After the plane crash Oleksandr Yaroslavsky offered comprehensive support to the official and non-official organizations that participated in investigation of the crash. Among other, he offered the rooms in Kharkiv Palace 5* free of charge (in the summer of 2014 over a hundred people from 7 countries that represented the International Investigation Mission, stayed at the hotel, while the conference halls opened their doors to over 120 journalists from 16 foreign countries). The businessman also guaranteed cooperation of Kharkiv International Airport, DCH group being one of its operators.
