Kyiv – Goa (India) – Kiev flight became the first long-haul flight on the route map of Kharkiv Airlines.  In the near future, the Airlines, in cooperation with Pegas Touristik, plan to launch a number of other long-haul flights including to Punta Cana (Dominican Republic), Nha Trang (Vietnam), Bangkok and Phuket (Thailand). In general, building the largest in Ukraine long-haul network of air routes is among the priorities of the company’s development strategy.

From the very beginning, we’ve been focusing on long-haul flights. This market niche in Ukraine is quite free and very promising. The active development of the international air travel allows us now to build ambitious plans in this area and to implement them successfully’, – says Nikolay Nikitenko, the Chairman of the Board of Kharkiv Airlines.

 Background

Kharkiv Airlines was founded in 1998 and operated flights until 2001. In summer 2012, it was included in DCH Group of Oleksandr Yaroslavskyy. The Group’s management decided to develop Kharkiv Airlines in order to increase passenger flow at the Kharkiv International Airport. Today, charter flights are operated in major resort directions. For the future, organization of regular passenger flights is being discussed. The fleet of Kharkiv Airlines includes B767-300ER and B737-800NG. It will be expanded according to the approved route network development plan.
