Kharkiv Airlines Launch a Direct Flight to Bangkok

On October 22, 2013, Kharkiv Airlines, from DCH Group owned by Oleksandr Yaroslavskyy, in cooperation with a well-known tour operator Pegas Touristik launches the second long-haul route: Kiev – Bangkok (Thailand) – Kiev. 

Bangkok is one of the largest business and trading centers in South-East Asia. For Ukrainians, it is of great interest as both a promising business area and a source of unforgettable tourist impressions. Bangkok is one of the most visited places in the region. In 2012 alone, it was visited by over 22 million tourists from all over the world. With the new flight, Ukrainians will be able to come to one of the most beautiful and original cities in the world without using complicated flight routes. 

Kiev – Bangkok – Kiev flights will be operated according to the winter flight program on a comfortable long-haul Boeing 767-300 by the following schedule:

Boeing 767-300ER has business and economy class cabins. During the flight, which lasts for about 9 hours 30 minutes, passengers will be served hot and cold drinks, snacks and hot meals (business class passengers can also order free alcoholic drinks from the on-board bar), as well as offered to watch films.

Business Class passengers will be able to stay in business lodges in the airports of departure and order drinks from the on-board bar during the flight.

«The new long-haul flight on the route map of Kharkiv Airlines will enable Ukrainians to travel to Bangkok without any usual difficulties of transit and waiting for many hours in transit airports, but with the highest level of comfort: for additional convenience of passengers, the flight will be operated at night», said Nikolay Nikitenko, the Chairman of the Board of Kharkiv Airlines.

The first long-haul flight launched by Kharkiv Airlines was Kyiv – Goa (India) – Kiev (October 20, 2013). In the near future, the Airlines will also launch one more regular flight from Kiev to Thailand, but this time – to Phuket. In addition, the company plans to open direct flights between Kiev and Punta Cana (Dominican Republic), Kiev and Nha Trang (Vietnam).
Background

Kharkiv Airlines was founded in 1998 and operated flights until 2001. In summer 2012, it was included in DCH Group of Oleksandr Yaroslavskyy. The Group’s management decided to develop Kharkiv Airlines in order to increase passenger flow at the Kharkiv International Airport. Today, charter flights are operated in major resort directions. For the future, organization of regular passenger flights is being discussed. The fleet of Kharkiv Airlines includes B767-300ER and B737-800NG. It will be expanded according to the approved route network development plan.
