Vitalii Bash, DCH Steel Director General, to Manage DMP

Oleksandr Yaroslavsky’s DCH Group will replace the top manager of the Dnipro Metallurgical Plant (DMP), and Vitalii Bash will become the enterprise’s new director general. Currently, he is already running the Sukha Balka Mine and DCH Steel, the group’s mining and smelting division management company.

DCH is grateful to Hennadii Bergeman, DMP’s former director general, for successfully adapting the plant to the DCH corporate standards system. On DCH Group acquiring the enterprise, this task was given to him by the DMP's PJSC supervisory board on April 13, 2018 when confirming his managerial authority within the transitional period. https://delo.ua/business/kompanija-jaroslavskogo-perenaznachila-gendirektora-dmz-do-konca-341467/

Vitalii Bash will assume office of Director General of the Dnipro Metallurgical Plant on June 19, 2019.

The decision taken by DCH on Vitalii Bash toconcurrently hold senior managerial positions of DCH Steel, DMP and the Sukha Balka Mine stems from the necessity to make all the elements of this business system work in a coherent manner. Today, economic growth is slowing down globally which logically means that it is necessary to introduce new approaches to manufacturing process management in view of highly globalized iron and steel industry. Thus, it is important to integrate all the workflow stages from mining ore to casting metal, into a single production chain in order to optimize the cost of production and to enhance economic efficiency and financial productivity. As director general of DCH Steel, DMP and the Sukha Balka Mine, Vitalii Bash is to tackle the challenge of vertical integration of the mining and smelting division enterprises in the first place.

In addition, DCH Investment Management (the group’s management company) and DCH Steel are working on a program designed for complex and deep modernization of its mining and smelting business, and DСН Steel will be responsible for implementing the program. We would like to remind you that some time ago, DCH announced its plans to invest about $ 150-300 mln in the development of technical and engineering capacities of the DMP and the Sukha Balka Mine during the next 5 years.
